Resumen

To contribute to the process of teaching and learning the Spanish language, as well as to reflect on the mistakes made orally in the interlanguage of students of that language (future teachers in initial training), we conducted a research with students enrolled in the course “Oral and Listening Practices in the Teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language (E/LE)”, of the Degree Program in Spanish Language at IFRN at Campus Natal Central. This study is classified as descriptive. Regarding the problem approach and data analysis, we classified our research as quantitative and qualitative. In this article, our objective was to answer the question: “What types of lexical errors are most frequently made, according to FERNÁNDEZ (1997) typology, in the oral production of these students?”. At the end, 329 lexical errors were found, of which 217 were loan errors, therefore, interlingual and 112 intralingual, divided into five categories.
