Au Revoir, Blas de Otero: o primeiro exílio do poeta em Paris
El primer exilio del poeta en París
Abstract
The objective of this article is to analyze the trajectory of Blas de Otero in the 1940s, during the Spanish Civil War, from his first contact with the literary magazines Espadaña and Garcilaso, to the publication of his first great work, Ángel fieramente humano, censored by the Spanish state bodies and denied the award at the “Adonais” Prize, organized by José Luis Cano. This censorship culminated in Blas de Otero's first exile from Spain to Paris, which led to a transformation both in his worldview and in the formal and aesthetic production of his poetry. This study of his exile serves as a contribution to an area still unexplored by literary critics of Blas de Otero's poems.
