This article aims to conduct a bibliographic review on the topic of pedagogical translation, that is, the use of translation activities in foreign language learning, and to identify the key themes addressed in the literature. The study analyzes academic articles written in Portuguese, sourced from the BASE, Scielo, and Google Scholar databases, covering the period from 2001 to 2023. While the use of translation in the classroom has been increasingly discussed in language teaching and learning contexts, there remains a need for further research and data analysis in this area. This study seeks to identify the main gaps, challenges, and approaches that characterize the topic.
